You are reading this guide since you were considering to purchase, a shoa survivor's uniform. sad to say, what you probably have in your possession (or considering it) is a 99% FAKE! In this guide I will give you a few pointers to see if you have the real thing or not.

fake uniform "from Dachau"

1)RULE: If it looks new IT IS NEW!

These pieces of cloth really look their age (if they are real). They were used and sometimes the prisoners bled or were beaten to death in them. Where are the blood stains? Where's the dirt? There is NONE! The item being sold looks new and has no wear and tear.

2)Take a look at the other  auction items that the  Ebay seller is offering. These guys are usually greedy and can't wait to sell one over a period of short  time. Where did they get all of them from?! A collector? A museum? China? Except for the latter, there were very few collectors of such items since there weren't too many uniforms left after the Shoa. Most of the clothing of the inmates was burned to prevent from spreading typhus and lice. A sign that the seller is a con is his selling many different Holocaust cloths with as many different places and types
, check the sellers previous sales-feedbacks over the past 2 months.  A sure giveaway is that he has sold 2 or more just in the past 2 months. These con artists are usually located in Poland and Germany ( there are also sellers in the USA who have also joined the bandwagon), where the worst cases of  Nazi abuse of prisoners took place. I'd hate to think that their descendants are selling these fakes to the victims ancestors!

3) Check the sellers current listings. Does he have (fake) german helmets, cloth armbands and collar pieces? Judaica silver Besomim and Yad's,  Japanese Imperial & German  flags... All these other fake items show beyond a reasonable doubt that these people have more then once conned others. Just do a COMPLETED ITEMS SEARCH  of the listings that the seller had recently.

4)These cons also sell war uniforms from the russian or german armies. Just as fake as well. See scan below.

notice how NEW  these uniforms are?

The con artists who usually sell these uniforms also usually sell fake Holocaust concentration camp armbands , nazi uniform patches, arm bands and collars, helmets, medallions, coins and rings. They sell these on a constant basis (just do a search on their completed items) with no end in site. Ebay will DO NOTHING TILL GOOD PEOPLE LIKE YOU COMPLAIN TO THEM OR REPORT THESE CONS TO THE INTERNET POLICE AND/OR FBI! (See my guides on INTERNET FRAUD FOR THE ADDRESSES)
Some other sellers also sell FAKE silver judaica (on YAD AND BESOMIM HOLDERS ) which I have already exposed in my other guides here on ebay.
