I love selling Depression Glass, Crystal, Pottery and China on eBay. This is what I sell in my eBay store. My store is MAGIC CHINA CLOSET my theme is that in a Magic China Closet you may find anything you are looking for. In my search to stock my store I have learned just how much Crystal, Glass, China and Pottery is really out in the world. Very Vast. I think I have only learned about a tiny, tiny piece of this field. I began buying reference books in the area of my interest. "OH MY GOSH!" I mean you can't depend on the Pottery Glass and Porcelain Board, all the time, these folks are great but they stay so busy. (by the way these folks do an awesome job) So this begins my story about buying reference books to identify my store stock. (I buy vintage and antique at estate sales and auctions)
I am being run over by with reference books in my search for patterns and manufacture identification for glass, pottery and china. Collecting reference books was not a collection I intended to start, meaning it wasn't an intentional collection. I didn't wake up one day and say I am going to collect Reference Books. Not only are they expensive, you have to have room to collect them.

I am sure number 41 is hiding somewhere, with more books I may not have noted in my collection. I know they are not in alphabetical order, I will work on that as soon as I get a bigger book case.
I caught myself looking at more Identification and Value reference books this morning and than I noticed the books that I have taking over my EBay office. STOP! this is what the Pottery and Glass Board is for, I think. No I can't put it off on them, they work too hard to take advantage of these nice folks, so back to my search for my reference books, at least eBay have wonderful prices on these books.
I find that although I love my books and find new items everytime I look at them. I often find that I can't remember were I saw that piece when I really need to identify a new item found at a new auction. As I spend hours going through all my ref. books and even put my husband to work trying to find it too, I wonder about all these books I have collected. Do I really need them all? Oh Well, back to looking through all the new reference books the the wonderful sellers of eBay are selling, I just may need another reference book.
