CASE KNIVES PROBLEM

I collect large Case Trapper folding knives. In this Guide I'm referring ONLY to Case knives with Jigged Bone. Case uses smooth and jigged natural bone for their knives. When case uses smooth bone the bone is clean, almost no marks. When jigged bone is used many knives have black marks/cracks in the bone.
If the knife is dyed a dark color the lines don't show, however in light colors you will see the lines. I recently paid $147.00 for a large Case Bubba Trapper. It came with visible lines in the jigged bone. Fortunately, the blade had a nick and I returned it to the seller for a replacement. The replacement had no lines, it was perfect. Now many collectors may say "its natural bone."
Ok, its natural bone but when Case laser etches a white bone with a design the bone is 100% clean. So Case chooses clean bone for etching but not for Jigged Bone.
I only found problems with Case on this. Other US and Germain companies making trappers don't have any problems with jigged bone because I've purchased many trapper knives from, Queen, Moore Maker, Henkels, Bulldog, Boker, Eye, Hen& Rooster, Kissing Cranes etc.
Because of these marks/cracks I ask sellers if the image of the knife in their auction is the one I’m going to get.
