Wonderful Candlelight Metallic Yarn!
I do so like working with Candlelight! Let your creative juices run! Your imagination is the only limit!
This soft yarn-like thread is easy to work with, wonderful to sew with, and shows up well on whatever you use it on without being over-powering! It is a great product for the creative fiber artist!
Add texture and glitter to your sewing, serging, hand embroidery, machine couching, weaving, knitting, jewelry, contemporary quilting, needlepunch and other embroidery, with wonderful Candlelight Thread!
Add it to yarns for knitting and crochet items. Add a touch of metallic to your needlepunch designs.
Make interesting and decorative edge trims by using Candlelight in your Serger loopers.
Use it in your sewing machine bobbin. Candlelight is too heavy and textured for use in most sewing machine needles, but it works easily in the bobbin. Running a straight line of stitching, either with a presser foot or with free-motion designs, will really dress up your fabric! Try it with simple, open automatic designs! You can even design your own fabric by stitching it before cutting, and get just exactly the effect you want.
Combine with other decorative threads such as Pearl Crown Rayon for couching or making tassels, Chinese knots, quilting effects, etc. It adds just the right amount of metallic glitz!
I cannot list all the ways it can be used, you will just have to try it yourself, and then let me know. When you do, I'll add it to this guide!
Candlelight washes like a dream, and is dry cleanable.

Hi! My name is Pat Merrell. I'm pictured here with my husband, Chuck. Together we've owned Sew-Art International for more than 25 years and are still going strong! I love to do machine embroidery, (particularly free-motion), and machine quilting. Afraid I'm a little old fashioned, because I do it all on my Bernina 930, a wonderful 25-year-old sewing machine! I've had her from when she was born - she's my baby! Email me with your questions, and I'll be happy to help you find an answer!
Thanks for reading this guide!
Pat
