Packs Per Box: 24
Cards Per Pack: 5
Cards Per Box: 120
Set Completion: 76 percent (114 of 150)
Duplicates: 2 Quality Control: no problems

What We Pulled: Three Future Watch (Brad Fast, Garret Stroshein, Brennan Evans), Sign of the Times Robert Esche, Sign of the Times Dual Andrew Raycroft/Joe Thornton, 2003-04 UD Classic Portraits Marc-Andre Fleury rookie buyback, Chicago Blackhawks Rookie Redemption
Them's The Breaks: Not a bad box by anybody's standards. The first thing that stood out was a base card design that was both innovative and striking, a perfect fit for a high-end brand like SPA. The one-per-pack All-World Team cards are attractive and make a nice addition to the 90-card base set (which, by the way, we completed in this box). Our pair of autographs was a mixed bag: Esche is a nice player, but not a real hobby presence. The Raycroft/Thornton dual, on the other hand, was a smoking hot pull. Two of the game's best young players on a card serial numbered out of 100. Sweet! Kudos to UD for having both of these cards hard-signed rather than relying on the use of stickers-an impressive feat considering that the players weren't exactly readily available this season. The Rookie Redemption program has caused a lot of question marks to form over collectors' heads as they wonder who they might possibly get in return for their cards. Pulling Chicago, a team with several nice young prospects in the pipeline, makes this card a potential winner. Overall, a positive experience with this popular product.
