- I would like to draw on my experience to explain that wholesale items can be bought on ebay for a variety of reasons from the obvious to the not so obvious

- But what about buying company gifts on ebay for events,happenings,openings, christmas gifts for customers etc?
- Also what about buying items wholesale on ebay to promote the retailer's business?
- Another new perspective is to buy on ebay a line of goods the retailer doesn't usually carry to experiment if he can expand into a new product line.For example if you sell ladies shoes why not try buying a stock lot of belts and displaying them in the shop and see if they sell.?After all they don't take up much space and if it catches on you can make it a permanent product offering.
- In an era where you really have to be creative to survive in any field of endeavor it pays to rethink the way you approach wholesale items on ebay.
- Christmas is approaching if you would like to show your customers a gesture of appreciation buying the suitable item in stock from ebay is the way to go!Of course this requires due planning not to wait last minute and frantically search for a solution two days before Christmas!
- Research has proven that we remember gifts offered much more than discount coupons.For example if a health club offers new members a towel as a gift this will make more impact than offering yet another price cut in fees and will cost less.
- Yet another viewpoint is selling wholesale items from ebay that are interlinked with the business activity but are not the main line of business( better known as cross selling.)I'll return to the example of the health club .They could actually sell towels at the reception desk.Of course the advantage is product placement.You go to the gym and you realizee you have forgotten yur towel .Also if you keep retail prices low since you bought it cheaply on ebay you can really capatilize on fringe markets.
