There seems to be alot of Rip offs with kits out there. Some are honest. How can they be honest you ask?,well some people really don,t know what they have and some do.I have been collecting and building truck kits for decades. Some advertise rare when in reality they are not, some were made later buy other companies using the original makers name and some have both. The most original kits have an artist rendition of the kit on the box not an actual picture of said kit. Some later ERTL kits had an a picture of the real truck or trailer on the box. When it comes to Ertl kits some advertise as original issue kits most are but if it is the mack tractors or three axle dump trailer or the DM 800 mixer, they were first issued by MPC this was the model side of General Foods fun group. The rarest among AMT models are the Kenworth W900 conventional and K100 Coe with torsion bar rear suspension,Lowboy with D8 and the Kenworth Mixer. Also if your buying to keep and not build watch the prices if there not factory sealed there not worth near as much as one factory sealed. There are alot of these kits out there and some feel like they have the last one.Another thing is shipping I can send myself a box with 18 built models from alaska to the lower 48 for 28.00,one to 3 kits should not cost any more than 15.00 to ship one kit runs from 7.50 to 9.00 so watch the shipping as well, alot of people try to make money off postage. Feel free to contact me with any questions .
