They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, well on Ebay, it could be worth a thousand dollars! A nice, clear picture can do more to help you sell your item than anything else in your description. With that in mind, having the right digital camera for what you sell is very important. There are many different camera choices on the market in vastly different prices ranges. Before you decide, it is important to know what you will be selling. Gemstones, jewelry and beads require a higher level of picture detail than say, auto parts, video games or clothing. Digital camera's are often listed by mega pixels. In laymen's terms, the higher the mega pixel, the more detail your photographs will have. This is especially true with close up pictures. I use a 5 mega pixel Kodak Easy Share camera to photograph my gemstones. It has a 10x zoom, is easy to use and is very reliable. I found my camera by doing research on line and then, of course, bought it in Ebay! So in conclusion, do some research, understand what you will need your camera to do, and buy one that is easy to use and affordable. Enjoy selling on Ebay and if you are in the market for gemstones, vintage jewelry or new jewelry, come by my store, Cathy's Gems and Jewelry.
