Buying DVD, VHS, VCD , HD-DVD, Blu-Ray, etc. the safe way
- In my opinion buying movies on eBay is always a risky situation. Depending on the cost of the movie is always something you should look at. Whether you are bidding on an auction, remember to read the seller description carefully or you might end up paying more than you thought you would. Some sellers don't post shipping rates on the front page, it will show as " See Description ". When this happens, be sure to read the description inside from the seller carefully.
- Another way of buying safely is remember to check the description of the item carefully. If the seller has information HIGHLIGHTED or BOLD or any other way telling you, you should always remember if that is what you really want that satisfy you buying this item.
- You should also know if the seller has a very low feedback (ex. 94.9) you should re consider of buying the item from them. Always be safe and check to see their feedbacks! This will help you decide if this seller is trustworthy and not a fraud or scam. Remember to read their feedbacks to get a idea of what your buying. Whether if it's fast transaction, fast payment, excellent service, or trusted eBayer, also remind yourself that you are making a deal to yourself that your buying this item from this seller with his/her positive feedback score. Also check the feedbacks from this seller as a buyer and as a seller or all.
- A important thing to remember from buying movies on eBay is that if the seller is selling the item 100% real. I mean if the movie is 100% authentic made from USA and only from USA (or wherever you live). This means this movie is not bootlegged or copied from any other persons/places. This is the most mistake most people make when buying movies on eBay. You have to read the seller description carefully too before bidding or buying. Note that this item on behalf you are paying is what you really want. Some sellers prefer to sell the movie single handed, in other words, they sell it without the case or anything else, but just the CD itself. It's totally up to you on whether you want the item like this or that.
- A helpful tip to spotting fakes, bootlegs is if the seller does not
provide the full item listed. For example, if he/she selling a DVD
listed as " Rush Hour 3 " and he/she is only selling the Disc only, you
can probably spot that as a fake or boot legged version. Also note if the DVD has an inkjet label, it'a a burn etc. Remember that
when buying movies.
**Please note that this guide is not to encourage anyone to stop buying movies on eBay. This guide is just to make you safe from purchasing multiple item(s) and carefully. Note that I'm not offending anyone in a way, just pointing out the safe way of purchasing items from eBay.
