If you buy something outside of the U.S., you should probably check with US customs to make sure you are not going to be charged for bringing it into this country. Certain items or items of a certain value ( or items coming from certain countries) are sent through customs brokers. They are free to charge you to clear your item to come into this country. If you don't want to pay them, they can send the item back to the seller but it is not the seller's responsibility to know this. There are also other considerations. You must give them (the custom's broker) either a business ID number or your social security number so that they may release it. You have no idea how their people are screened or who has access to your info. Before you buy whatever it is, make sure you know what it's going to cost, how much trouble you will have getting it, and who are you possibly inviting to steal your identity. Foreign sellers do not have to know our country's laws or customs rules...you do.
