After 2 years of using the cell phone your come to the choice: get a new phone or a new battery.
I am not a geek and I like my RAZR. So I'm here to get a new battery.
These are BR50 or BR56.
I got one for $9 total and immediately find that it is not new.
I bought another one from the different seller and get the same crap.
Frankly, most of the stuff on eBay is used, but do you really need a used battery?
The fact behind that is simple - battery is sitting in its compartment all the time, where is no tear no wear on the body.
My old one is looking like new, but it does not mean that I can sell it as a new one. That is just a piece of junk.
So, instead of the good replacement I got another piece to recycle.
When I told this, the seller immediately returned my money. But, does everyone can tell the used battery from new?
It is easy.
First of all - look at contacts (the gold straps in the corner) in reflecting light. If battery is used you can see the very light scratches along them at each contact.
Second - inspect the body. It is paper wrap and even after very light use it has some signs of it. The paper is not even and straight and corners are slightly shiny.
So, do not indulge to con seller, do not be a recycle bin.
