This guide is meant to help anyone who is buying Baby items online. This is especially geared towards new moms or those new to Ebay.
When buying baby clothes or toys, you need to consider a few things:
Shipping: Your little one can jump sizes within a very short time. From the time you bid, to paying, to actually receiving your item could take up to 14 days if not longer. This all depends on the length of auction, how long you take to pay, and the shipping options you choose. This is enough time for your baby to outgrow what you just bought. You need to consider buying a size larger than what the baby is currently wearing. If you are unsure about anything, make sure you ask questions. Asking questions helps with a postive transaction, a happy seller and a happy buyer.
Size: As you know certain brands run bigger and/or smaller than others. For this reason, you should consider buying a larger size than needed. Not to mention...grow spurts could happen at any given time. A good seller will already give you and idea if an item runs small or not in their listing. Take that into consideration when buying.
New moms or grandmoms: I recommend buying a book called What to expect the first year. This gives you insight as to what to expect with feeding, crawling, and growing. This will help you with determining what type of clothes are appropriate as well as food, and toys.
Toys: Always buy age appropriate toys. There are also a large amount of toys that are very old selling on ebay. Again ask questions as to when the toy was purchased if used or new. Some older toys are not as safe as some newer ones.
If you are new to ebay, I recommend you check out the following link: Ebay's Learning Center: How to buy. I also recommend reading the seller's feedback. To me this is crucial to the credibility of the seller. And when all fails.....ASK QUESTIONS....I truly hope this was helpful to you. Any feedback to this guide is welcomed.
