This is a pretty simple guide, and relates to buying and selling parts for Beechcraft (otherwise known as Beech, Raytheon, or Beech/Raytheon) aircraft.
Trick 1: When you see a part and want to know if it is for your plane, check out the Rapid (Beech parts distributor) website. You can Google search for it, since I can't include links from outside of eBay. The Rapid web site has a parts search tool, to allow you to look up the part. Better yet, it has a 800 number listed that is good for 24 hour parts support, so you can see what the part would cost you new from Beech, and in some cases, whether it will fit your airplane.
Trick 2: If you are selling parts and don't know what they are for, hit the Rapid web site and see if you can figure it out. Some general hints:
Part number starts with 35 - (e.g.: 35-XXXXXX-XX) it is for a Bonanza 35 and some Debonairs and some A36 models.
Part number starts with a 33 - it is for a Debonair and some A36 Bonanzas.
Part number starts with a 36 - it is for the 36 series of Bonanza aircraft.
Part number starts with a 45 - it is generally for the T-34 Mentor. However, some parts cross to the A-36 and 35 and 33 models, so check first.
Enjoy, and good luck!
