I am either a very lucky person...or, very dense ! I have bought dozens and dozens of accordions on ebay, and I have no complaints. I can say that I have never been cheated on ebay. And, get this, I treat my sellers well. I NEVER give negative feedback. I would rather not leave any feedback. I get screwed more-so in the local market here...crazey prices for simple 2 reed accordions with reed/tuning problems. Why am I so lucky on ebay ? Here's why. I am a Hohner collector, but, I did buy an Italian one last week. I found out when I got it that the pics on ebay had considerably different color than the real thing!! But, it had 4 treble reeds ...which the seller had no clue about. (I just love this game) Normally, when I bid on accordion, I am assuming...apart from all the sales hype..That it WILL need repairs...reed work, tuning, shoulder straps, bellows straps, celluloid repair, reed blocks planed for tight sealing, air leaks..some gross, some subtle, etc. And that is how I determine how to bid. I am cheap!! I am almost expert on old Hohners and I make them sing like angels !!! I have a Davinci (Guerinni) that I bought locally ($850.00) that sounded like crap ! I took out the high reed box, fitted a Hohner middle reed box into it, retuned it for a very wet musette and I sounds incredible and plays great !! Possibly the only Italian accordion that I will ever keep! About a year ago I boutht a Hohner Verdi IV (4) for $32.00 plus shipping. It sounds awesome without any repairs. When the reed work is finished it might sound bettter than any Atlantic IV !! Old accordions, in my humble opinion, will always sound better than modern day ones !!!!! Buying accordions on ebay ?? I just love it !! Ebay IS THE PLACE to buy accordions !!!! Happy Bidding !!!!!!
