Opening Remarks:
Are you tired of trying to find name brands that are so expensive you can't afford them? Do you want to sell name brand clothing and be able to make a profit? Well, I have a solution for you! I have a guide to help you know how to buy or get name brand clothes for free or dirt cheap and turn around and sell them to make a HUGE profit. Just honest to goodness ideas on how you can have fun shopping and make some money in the process.
There are many name brands that people like such as Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle, Old Navy, Express, L.E.I., Guess, Banana Republic, Nike, etc. People don't realize how many garage sales, resale shops and goodwill stores there are where you can find these top name brands. You can either get them for nothing or for a dirt cheap price and they are in great shape and you will be able to turn around and sell them and make a HUGE profit.
Tips And What To Look For Are:
Make sure there are no holes, they have all their buttons, zippers and such. Also look for name brands that don't have stains or markings, and that the name patches are still on them is a plus. Mostly just make sure the brands are clean, nice to look at and to wear. Sometimes you might have to dig through many racks and bins of clothing, shoes and accessories, but in the end you will find many diamonds in the roths.
1. Stop in frequently since most shops have a constant turnover of merchandise.
2. Talk to sales staff and find out which days new merchandise is put out for sale. That way, you'll get the first opportunity to get the best merchandise. Many Goodwills put out new merchandise daily, so serious shoppers may want to stop in on a regular basis to find out what's new.
3. Introduce yourself to the staff, and ask them about items you're looking for or what they would suggest as a good buy. Establish yourself as a regular customer and the staff may even call you to let you know when certain items arrive in the store.
4. Find out store policies on markdowns, holds and the methods of payment the store or person accepts. If policies aren't posted, ask the sales staff about them.
Types Of Places To Shop:
One thing to do when it comes to Garage Sales is to get a local paper where you live and circle ALL of the sales with clothing in the ad as there are always name brands. Look for sales that say you can fill a bag of anything for a $1 as those are the ones to go to cause they normally have no clue what they have and just want to get it out of there. Resale shops are pretty reasonable as well; but, you will have to sift through their racks of clothing and you will have to pay their price. They generally have a monthly calendar with the types of sales on what days which is a good thing.
As for my favorite: That would have to be Goodwill! I know...it sounds crazy; but, I've found the best clothes, they are so cheap it is unbelievable and they are 98% name brands and in great shape. Goodwill also carries a military discount on certain days; but, they are so cheap, that you wouldn't need it. Goodwill stores feature gently-used and new items that are bargains for smart shoppers. The 2,000 Goodwill stores in North America are independently owned and operated, but most Goodwills offer basic items that guarantee great finds — jeans, business attire, baby and children’s clothing, housewares and appliances, furniture and more. Some Goodwills also operate upscale boutique and specialty stores that feature name-brand designer fashions, jewelry, wedding gowns, computers, antiques and other amazing finds.
Do Your Homework:
Also, you should Always Do Your Homework! Which means: research the name brands that you and others you know like and that will help you find the best or rather I'd say the most bought and worn brands by individuals. I asked my friends and family about the types of clothing brands they enjoyed wearing. I would make a list of everyone who liked what type and look specifically for those items.
Conclusion:
People don't realize the value of what they donate to goodwill, consign with resale shops or sell at garage sales. So, it is left up to all of us thrifty shoppers that have a taste for mainly "The Name Brands." Instead of just taking my advice, why don't you check these places out for yourselves and then try to sell at least one item to start out with and you will see what a BIG profit you will make. Please be sure to let me know how things go as I would love to hear everyone's success stories or just any feedback and any other tips and ideas. Take Care and Happy Shopping
