One has to be very careful when shopping for a quilt.  The price asking is dependant on the quality of the fabric used in the quilt.  There are alot of foreign made poor quality cotton quilts on the market with a very low price point.  The higher the quality of the cotton, the higher the price.  Ask for the source of the cotton fabric used.  Also ask if it made by an individual or mass produced in North America or overseas.  If it is hand quilted or machine quilted ask to see a detailed picture of the quilting to check the quality.  It would be a good idea to also see a picture of the back side of the quilt to check the colour and pattern.
