     BaySide Technical Services (E-Bay User- bayside1) has been offering New Tuttnauer Autoclaves to the E-Bay Community for the past eight years. In this time many Sellers have come and gone and the Market Place has become more Competative. The Imapact of these changes can be felt by both the Buyer and Seller.

     Sellers have been dropping prices to all time lows to attract new Customers. This has resulted in pricing restrictions by manufacturers and lower margins on "actual" sales. To offset declining profits many sellers have become more aggressive in their marketing. It has become common practice to include additional "Bonus" items with the sale to attract more buyers. Additionally, sellers have become very interested in advertising "Reconditioned and Demo" units instead of offering New product. Factory Reconditioned and Demo units are only available from Tuttnauer in limited quantities. If a dealer does not physically have one of these units in stock it could take 4-6 weeks or longer to provide one to you the customer.

     Tuttnauer Reconditioned and Demo Autoclaves are evaluated and tested by Factory trained technicians. The Warranty on these units is half of that offered on a similar "New" unit. The major draw back is that if the unit did need warranty service and you wanted to take advantage of the free labor you would have to ship the unit to Tuttnauer for repair at your expense. Turn around time could be up to two weeks for this service. Thats a long time to be without an autoclave.

     Other Sellers have started offering extended warranties on New Tuttnauer Autoclaves. Tuttnauers' Warranty on New "EZ" electronic autoclaves is 2 Years on-site Parts and Labor. If you see a Tuttnauer advertised with a 4 Year Parts and Labor Warranty the 2nd two years is offered through private insurance and not from Tuttnauer. Tuttnauer offered a similar program in the past but ended it due to low demand. While these are generally good products you should still ask for documentation and research just what you are getting.
