The Spektrum DX3.0 and the DX2.0 are very popular radio systems used for controlling radio controlled vehicles. They come equipped with what is now the safest, fastest and most hassle free connection, 2.4Ghz DSM Technology.

We will start with the DX3.0 as this is the more popular of the 2 units.


Straight from the factory, the DX3.0 comes equipped with the following:

The street price for this system is $249.99. Authorized Spektrum Retailers are required by Spektrum to advertise and sell no lower than this price. This is not so bad considering the 2 SR3000 receivers it comes with. But for some, this may be a bit pricey.

Some sellers will take and remove 1 Receiver from this package and offer it at a lower price. This is great for sellers because they can offer the DX3.0 for a price lower than the required $249.99 by Spektrum.

Some sellers also remove the stock Z270 servo and the stock Z590 servo as this will lower the price even more for the buyer. Since most buyers already have their own set of servos for their vehicles, this saves the buyer a little bit more money.

The seller can then sell the extra receiver and the extra servos removed form the original DX3.0 system to make up for the lost profit of the reduced price system.

So just be sure you are aware of exactly what you are buying. Take a good look at what is included in the auction you are considering purchasing.

Now for the DX2.0 Radio System

The DX2.0 is priced considerably lower than the DX3.0. The street price is only $169.99 and comes factory fresh with everything the DX3.0 does except for the extra receiver.

Sellers sometimes do the same thing with the DX2.0 by removing the stock servos and selling the system for a lower price.
