Until July 2007 Ebay allowed the sell of Pulse Oximeters. according to FDA rules ALL oximeter that are FDA approved for sell in America MUST have a Doctors RX to Purchase. No Exceptions. Ebay says that the 3 oximeters that they allow to be sold on Ebay are approved for over the counter use(OTC) , meaning for Sports. According to the FDA NO ONE HAS EVER BEEN APPROVED FOR OTC USE . To legally Purchase a medical oximeter you must have a RX from a Dr. If the FDA does not approve OTC sales why does ebay allow the sell of oximeters.
