For the past few weeks I have been browsing most of these Ebay listings for the PS3 and have been astounded by how much people are OVERPAYING for the PS3s. For what some people are paying for USED PS3s, you can get a PS3 new for a similar price. Here is my breakdown:

So $499 retail.
With the Sony Credit Card, you can subtract $100.

At Amazon.com, the system is free to ship, and no tax, coming with Motorstorm.

So $399 retail.
Let us suppose you don't want Motorstorm, and are cheap. Ebay it for at LEAST $20 (not including shipping).
So $379 RETAIL.

You still have the receipt and have not redeemed the
Blu-Ray offer. I am not interested in the Blu-Ray movies themselves. Just the
money I could possibly shave off of the system's cost.
So Receipt + NEW box of PS3 = redeemable offer for 5 Blu-Ray movies. At a MINIMUM of $12 Ebayed for each (not including shipping, and depending on which 5 you choose), that is $70 right there.
$309 for a fully Retail PS3, Shipped and no tax! (After some Ebaying).
You can do similar math with all of the other versions. So please guys- STOP bidding so high on the PS3s. I have seen people pay $500 + SHIPPING on the systems. Please, people!
