Picture this..you have been searching for months for an affordable lace front or full lace wig.  Most of the sites online that have wigs of interest are way too pricey for your budget but you keep hoping for that half off sale.  Then one day you think of going on an auction site like ebay!  Perfect!  The prices are affordable and there are hundreds of lace wigs to choose from.  There is only one problem, you cant figure out what seller you should buy from out of the hundreds you see.  What should you be looking for when purchasing a lace wig on ebay or other auction sites?

First, look for photos of actual wigs on the sellers auction (and in there store if they have one).  Some wigs are standard and you may see the same photo used over in other auctions but don't be put off by this...its a common practice.  What you SHOULD be put off by are photos of celebrities used in replace of an actual wig photo.  If  you see a celebritie's photo and no other photo of a wig the style represents, try another seller.  You want to be sure that your potential seller has actually made this wig before and can duplicate the look of your favorite star BEFORE you buy from them.

Next, review the sellers feedback score and click on the numbers next to there sellers id which is also next to the colored star.  This will take you to the detailed feedback reviews for this particular seller.  You are searching for "feedback as a seller", click that tab on the feedback section.  Some sellers have gotten smart and have even attempted to BUY there positive feedbacks by selling small 1cent items or dollar auctions...search for the wigs they have sold in the feedback section only.  No other auctions they have done matter.  Search for words like, good communication, nice hair quality, will come back.  Some buyers, even after a bad experience are not likely to leave negative feedback in fear of retaliation by a seller, so look out for Thanks, and item arrived promptly without any additional words.  Those will be your clue that the buyer might not have really liked there lace wig and decided to not leave a detailed explanation.

The last step would be to read the listing in full more than once if possible.  If the seller has a lot of information on the listing you want to make sure you know exactly what you are purchasing.  If something is missing, ask questions!  Dont be afraid to ask questions.  If the seller tells you that they cannot provide information to you until after the wig is sold in fear that you will take there ideas, run the opposite direction!  This is a ploy to take your money and also one used by sellers who have little understanding on how to world of customer service and good communication work.  Buy from a seller who is readily available to respond to your questions.  Be sure to not overwhelm the seller with too many questions that may be found in the actual listing if you just take the time out to read it carefully.

Your lace wig purchase on ebay can be a great experience if you follow the steps listed above as well as common ebay sense.  If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.  Stay away from sellers who list there NEW lace wig at under $130.  There are no lace wig vendors who can even purchase wholesale for that cost.  If the seller claims they make the lace wigs by hand themselves (and this is why the cost is so cheap) yet they have a few dozen wigs on there site..be weary.  It takes time to make these units and one or two people cannot make a large amount like this in a few days.  You want to purchase from sellers who's listings are clear and that provide good service.  Don't be afraid to purchase on ebay and try not to believe all the hype you hear on message boards regarding auction sites and lace wigs.  A lot of sellers are reputable lace wig sellers who use ebay as a marketing tool to promote there lace wigs and websites.  Don't be put off by the low prices!  Buy smart and use the steps I have given you above for a the best possible ebay experience!
