When my twins were born they came a little too early. I didn't have a double stroller for them. I had already purchased Graco infant carriers. When it was time to purchase a stroller I went with the Graco Duo Glider. It is a very long stroller and bulky when its closed. Will not fit into a trunk of a car found that out the hard way. I still liked it alot. It has a big basket underneath, a cup holder on top and it is made well to hold both carriers. The only problem I ran into when I tried to put one of the twins in the front seat without the carrier, I realized the seat was not made to hold a newborn. It did not fully recline like the rear one does. This stroller is made for a newborn in the rear and todler in front. The price is not bad at all, I paid at the time $199. for it.
One day shopping I ran into a stroller that both seats fully reclined, and was very compact in size. I sent my husband out the next day to go buy it. He thought I was nuts, because it cost $499. It was the Peg Perego Twin Tender XL. I didn't care because again both seats fully reclined. BIG MISTAKE! First of all the money you pay for it you would think it would have a big basket underneath and a cup holder on top, well ladies it had none of those. I know for me I needed a big basket but again I didn't care because it reclined. There are two little dinky things underneath that I wouldn't even call baskets. You can't even fit your purse under there never mind a diaper bag. This stroller started falling apart after a few months. The holder for the seat belts were tearing, the wheels didn't want to turn anymore and the whole stroller started to lean to one side. It turned out to be a total nightmare. $499 is sitting in my garage. What a waste of money.
Now my twins are three and I still use my Graco stroller. I love it and have no problems with it at all. It still looks brand new and is strong enough to hold the both of them. The advise I give anyone looking for a double stroller is make sure that it is made strong and suits your needs. You will know when you compare them side by side. The most expensive strollers are not the best, you are just paying for the name!!
