Hi! My Name is Teresa and I love SHOPPING on E-bay! I recently bought a few wholesale lots of Children's name brand clothing and I wanted to share my thoughts!

First off , there are a TON of auctions stating 2x your bid in merchandise. But when they figure that, they use the full retail value of the item. Lets use Gymboree for example. Say you're winning bid is $25.00. 2x 25 is $50.00. So for that auction you would be receiving $50 of Gymboree. I love Gymboree, but it's not a cheap brand! You may only end up with 2-3 item in whats called a "wholesale" lot. With shipping you are getting less than 50% off! You can get a much better deal in stores or on-line, especially when they have sales!

Second, in a lot of lots I have seen recently (and a few I have bought) They show wonderful pictures, but in the fine print it says this is just an example of current inventory! Now, I took a chance on an auction like this, and it wasn't bad, the seller was honest, but it just wasn't what I would buy if I went shopping. I personally from now on will only buy items in lots if pictures in the auction are the ACTUAL items I will be receiving. If the seller is going to take the time to show you pictures of what you will be receiving, the more likely they will take time for you, the buyer with any questions.

Third, if you are going to buy a high priced lot (in my opinion $50 or more) Do not buy if they do not accept PAYPAL! I bought one recently and seller only accepted Money orders. Seller claimed she didn't receive payment until a month after I sent it. Then when the seller shipped it, a week had passed and said she had gotten it sent back to her. Then when I finally received package, on the postage, she only paid to mail an 8oz package, and box was at least 3 lbs! Also when you file a claim for not receiving a shipment and you paid with a money order, you have to fax in proof of it being cashed, have to pay a $25 claim fee and fax info to e-bay. And if you are like me and don't have access to a fax machine, its almost pointless filing a claim. If you have any questions, just e-mail me! I hope this helps!
