Buying Used Razors
The following are some links to my store which detail the various topics named. Click on the pictures, they are linked to various outside references pertinent to the topic.
A pet peeve of mine is Sanitation, you don't know who, (or what) has used the razor last and for what purpose. I've seen some really disgusting ones, even from high volume users. This page shows the equipment I use. Different razors require different methods. (putting a schick in an autoclave at 300 degrees will melt the plastic). I wear rubber gloves when I receive razors from an unknown source. Just because the seller says they're sanitized or sterilized doesn't mean they are. If the seller is sanitizing them, he'll brag about it

There are only three types of razor useful for shaving because of blade availability and quality; Double Edge, Injector, Single Edge. Drug Stores are starting to carry these blades again. I see people buying blades on ebay that they can get cheaper at the Drug Store.
Ladies need a gentle attack. Gillette Blue Tip, Gillette Ladies Razor (5 Star), Ladies Schick/Eversharp. My wife likes the Lady Eversharp, it can get all the nooks and crannies easily. Use a shampoo/conditioner not lather.
I question the usefullness of adjustable razors. I always end up just setting them half way. People with heavy beards should look at the gillette red tip.
Wet shaving could be called single edge shaving. With multi-blade razors the first blade lifts the whisker and the second cuts it. This causes razor burns in a lot of people (including me)
