Ebay has really become the place to buy cars and trucks and yes you can find some great deals and prices there as well. 1. Ask alot of questions dont be afraid to ask if a seller won't answer then dont BID!!
2. Car or Truck History if you have made the decision to buy then pull a CarFax Great TOOL!!
3. If you need financing on the car or truck you are bidding arrange this ahead of time dont wait!!
4. Ask for more pictures most sellers will be glad to assist you in providing them.
5. Ask seller if maint. records are available
6. Ask about internal parts like hoses,wires,wipers ect.
7. Ask about A/C Heat
8. Tires Approx tread life is important as well as brakes You may drive your purchase!!
9. Shipping ask seller if they ship or offer Airport, Bus Pickup Service !!
10. Consider the purchase of a Warranty on your purchase ask seller if they offer this or go online and find a company that sell them and consider it, remember insurance is a purchase you buy and hope you dont need it, there are alot of affordable car warranty's out there make sure you check them out before you buy one and that they service your state of residence.
11. Follow the sellers requirements if they require a deposit the make the deposit, once you have agreed then follow through with the purchase if you think you are going to have buyers remorse then dont bid !!!!
12. Sales Tax remember that if you buy from a Retail Dealer then they may be required by law to collect sales tax for your state of residence, be prepared to pay this i addition to your bid purchase.
13. AS/IS NO WARRANTY this term means just what it says. When buying a used car or truck and when properly stated in a listing you are buying a car or truck without a warranty and if a seller states a warranty be sure to ask for it in writing. Most states will not honor a verbal warranty!!!!! AGAIN ASK THE QUESTION!!!!!!!
14. Insurance is required to drive be sure to alert your insurace company and add on your purchase before you pick it up in the event of an accident you will know that you are covered if buying from a dealer this will be required so be prepared to have it to avoid delay in getting your purchase home after you pick it up, and remeber if you have added your purchase and you have tow and breakdown assistance it will be there if you need to use it on your way back home !!
15. Titles make sure to ask seller if the title is clear and be precise on when this title will be available to you after the purchase, most private sellers should have title in hand and have it free and clear of all leins, a dealer on the other hand may have a title delay and should have it to you witin 3-5 business days and should be willing to send it overnight at there expense. Again ASK QUESTIONS!!!!!!!
