There are 1000s of seeds on ebay, Many Rare, and many ordinary. Be sure to do a Goggle search of the Botanical name ( latin name) if you are looking for something special. Then punch it up on Ebay under descriptions in your ebay search.
Also buy from licensed seed dealers and nurseries here on Ebay. People who advertise that they grew these seeds and are selling them should be asked if they are sure they have not cross pollinated with another plant nearby. This happens many times with Gourds, Peppers, Flowers, Melons, etc... . Tomatoes grown a few feet apart should be ok, but gourds grown within 1/4 mile of other gourds could yield something totally different.
Also does the seller offer any guarantee or replacement?. Most do not and blame it on the grower. Be sure to read the fine print before bidding on any auction.
Another thing to check into is your state laws on what you are ordering. For instance, St. Johns Wort cannot be shipped to California. Some perennials, like Dames Rocket, are considered flowers in some states and noxious weeds in others. Again, do a web search for the USDA noxious weed list for your state to be sure...
Happy Growing , Mark
