The Pimpernel company, as others, produce up to three different sizes in their place mats.  There is the dinner placemat which is the biggest at about 12 x 16.  The next one is the luncheon placemat which is about 9 x 12.  Following in size is the one at about 7.5 x 8.5 which is a combination of a coaster and a placemat.  You need to watch out what you are bidding on because they all look identical in the pictures and one might assume every placemat is of the big size....
