If you are new to the Non Sports trading cards world welcome to an exciting and ever growing world. There are several companies but 2 major ones Inkworks and Rittenhouse Archives. Before you jump on the bandwagon and purchase that pack pulled celebrity autograph be sure to do some research and NEVER buy it when first released. When a new item is first released everyone must have like Superman Returns from Topps. The first cards out of the gate always get bid higher because everyone has to be the first to have them, if you wait for the market to even out cards will almost always lower in price.

There are some rare examples of a card set that keeps increasing in value and never levels off or decreases. A few examples of these are

Topps Dark Angel Jessica Alba Autograph

Inkworks early Buffy The Vampire Slayer autos especially stars like Hannigan, Charisma..

All Inkworks Serenity cards, this came out of the gate hot and has stayed that way for over a year, it may decrease a little with Firefly comming out but not much.
