I have recently purchased an entire wardrobe of infant, Newborn, 3months, 6months and 12 months clothing on eBay, and paid low prices for designer clothes....  ALL New with TAGS !!  

For a first time Mom, how do you know what you want ???  Which brands are good ???  None of the brand names seem to sound familiar !!!   I did some research...  and went straight to the most expensive baby stores in my city.  I looked and I examined the quality of the garment construction and the fabric.  I touched the fabric and determined what I most desired....  Which was a durable, soft fabric that did not contain too much color or stiffness, with solid seams.  I wanted to avoid cheap buttons, laces or snaps.   I also looked for size, as so many of the baby clothes run Large or Small for the age listed on the garment.   If one brand's romper was a 6 month size, but appeared to be close to a 3 month size in an alternate brand... I took note of this, so I knew which sizes I wanted.   My shopping was for a girl, but many of the brands on this list also make QUALITY boy's clothing too !!

Lulu - Very up beat line of infant girls selections, nice fabrics

Baby Beau & Belle - Best for Baptism Dresses ($400 to $600 in Boutiques), very upper end.

Tommy - Very nice sleepware and rompers

Bunnies by the Bay - This company makes the CUTEST Bunny and Duck coats for up to 24 months.

There are other brands out there, and you might prefer them over the brands listed above, but you will notice that many of the most popular known brands are NOT on my list.  They fell short on construction, fabric quality and style.  

Now that you know what you are looking for.... HOW do you get the Garage Sale Prices.   I bought all of the clothes on eBay.  I avoided the Buy It Now auctions that priced the clothes too high.  Bid on auctions that start low.... But DO NOT place a BID.  Go to AuctionSniper (find it on the internet).  This site connects to the eBay system.  Sign up, and then place your maximum bid for the item you are interested in purchasing.   The AuctionSniper will bid for you in the last 5-10 seconds of the auction.  This approach will keep you from bidding UP the auction you are interested in, and it will also keep you from OVER Bidding and over paying for an item.   I use Auction Sniper exclusively !!!   Look for outfits with several pieces, or several outfits from the same seller to save on shipping.   Avoid auctions with over priced shipping !!!   Look for "out of season" items, as you will get a $60.00 Bunnies on the Bay Coat for $19.00 when buying in the Spring and Summer season.   Take you time....  if you don't get one auction, another will show up in the next several days.   Do an eBay search for the size you are looking for or the letters, "NWT" (New With Tags) if you will only accept new clothing.   Keep to the rules... and SAVE Big and your Baby will be the envy of the nursery !!!
