Hi,
I purchased many hair bow guides on ebay trying to learn how to make hair bows. Most of them were the same, meaning some one bought one and then made there own hair bow guide from the one they bought. Look at all the guides available out there, check the sellers feedback rating and then take the time to look at there auctions to see the quality of the bows and what they are selling for on ebay. I would suggest buying a guide from a seller who's hair bows are going for the highest price on ebay. Do not buy more than one guide, as it is a waste of money. Please note there are many free hair bows instructions on ribbon websites.Try https://www.theribbonretreatwholesale.com/custom/free_projects.aspx. They also sell different types of instructions at reasonable prices and hair bow supplies to. Do a search for free hair bow instructions on goggle for more free instructions. Do not go on-line and spend $100's of dollars on ribbon, glue, glue guns, headbands etc. before you know if you will actually be good at making the bows. I sell some hair bows on ebay but I mostly sell the head bands for bow makers. I am an artist so I thought making bows would come easy to me, it took me a week to get it! I still can not make complex, loopy bows and some of those super cool bows you see on ebay. Making bows is also expensive unless your just making a simple bow on an alligator clip. Making hair bows is fun but also very time consuming. When I started out and started selling them on ebay my average sales for the month went down over 25% since I was so busy with the bows I did not list as much of my regular ebay items. If you want to order supplies check out www.ribbonsandbowsohmy.com, if you want FREE korker bow instructions go to www.ribbonqueen.com. For those just starting out, go to Walmart and pick up one glue gun, one pack of glue sticks and 3 different width's of ribbon (5/8th, 7/8th, 1 inch) to practice with at a low cost. 3/8th ribbon is hard to make bows with when you first get started and I also found ribbon over 1.5" difficult to work with. Please note when buying headbands on ebay look at the total amount you will be paying with shipping then divide that amount by the number of headbands you are purchasing if it's over 0.90 cent you are paying to much! I hope this helps some of the new hair bow makers.
