Ebay has many talented and wonderful scent artisans working in the medium of oils, candles, soaps, and other body products! Not to mention there are many wonderful products that are so rare in any given community that if you find them in a store near you they are bound to be very over priced. For example, Kiss My Face products can be bought in bulk, or often in singles for a dramatically lower price than they can be found locally. The same thing goes with ShiKai products which are organic and wonderful, yet very overpriced in stores. Then, there are those among us that happen to be in love with a type of body product, say devotees of the recently defunct Tutti Dolce line by Bath and Body works, and now where can you get these products? E-bay of course!
First things first, why are you shopping online?
Allergies
Many people are allergic to a specific item in regular products. For example, I have a friend who is allergic to lanolin. It's horrific when anything with lanolin touches her skin. She swells up like a balloon and turns red.
If you are shopping here because you are allergic to many traditional products, something more organic or hand made may be the answer to your problems. If you are allergic to something as prevalent as lanolin, it is relatively easy to contact a seller who is making thier products themselves and ask if this ingredient is, in fact, in thier products. This is better than a retail item which may not have all the ingredients listed on thier products. Most e-sellers are friendly and quick to respond to questions of this nature because they want you to buy thier product and BE HAPPY WITH IT!

I have been shopping for body lotion, shower gels, and anything else that strikes my fancy and smells nice for quite some time. Some of my favorite e-sellers and reasons for this are below. Try them out, they are all wonderful!

Honeybee Spa Candles by betha04
I absolutely love this e-store! The owner has an amazing array of scents that immediately bear perusal, with a convenient fragrance list showing all of her fragrances throughout the year. I love her dry oil sprays, but what I really enjoy here are her shampoos. They are the best price I have found on e-bay to date, they are wonderful on my hair, and they come in every scent on her fragrance list! If you are one of those people who like all of your fragrances to match, you can easily get shampoo and conditioner, plus body wash, an 8oz lotion, and dry oil spray all for under 40$. Try doing that at bath and body works! Plus, the lotions are made of goats milk and make your skin feel fantastic, especially if you get really dry skin during the winter or after exposure to a lot of sun. Plus, Betha04 is so, super fantasticly nice that she includes samples with your order, so that you can try other scents that you might not have otherwise. This has convinced me to buy things I might not have otherwise more than once. I love every scent I've tried from this store. My favorite? Fudge Brownie is first, with Chocolate coming in second, though the Birthday Cake smells wonderful as well! I like things that smell like I could eat them with a spoon. :o)
The only problem I've experienced hasn't been with the Honeybee Spa Candles, but with e-bay. Always hit request total from seller or you may be overcharged for shipping. Betha04 is cool enough to give it back if you do get overcharged, but let's not make more work for her or stress for you. :o) She also combines shipping and has flat rate shipping! Hurrah, for small shipping charges!
Natural Country Crafts
This Illinois based company does one thing better than all of the other places I've tried so far. It has some of the most wonderfully fragrant, richly lathering, bar soaps to have ever passed into my hands, and they are all reasonably priced as well. The shipping here isn't too bad either, especially if you are one of those wonderful people like me who like to buy a bunch of things at once.
I enjoy the lotion I have tried from this company as well. The chocolate smells absolutely wonderful! There are also some unique products on this site as well. They have a 'shaving clay', which actually came labelled as shaving butter. It is some truly wonderful stuff. It is much less annoying than the cans of shaving creme that women usually have cluttering thier bathrooms. It doesn't lather much, but it makes your skin feel silky and soft, and I haven't cut myself at all while using it. It also has the added bonus of smelling wonderful, and there are many scents to choose from as well. Also from this company among the many other things they carry are natural deodorants, which aren't made with the breast cancer causing chromium that most other deoderants contain. Chormium has been listed as an ingredient that can lead to a higher instance of breast cancer in women. The deoderants that Natural Country Crafts carry come in many different scents as well as working nicely. I go to the gym almost every day and they do the trick as well as, or better than any name brand deoderant/antipespirant that I have ever tried. I have sensitive skin, so the first couple of times I tried it it burned slightly and tingled a little, but I haven't had that problem since the first couple of times I tried it. Give it a whirl! It is definately worth trying if you want a natural deoderant! I wear it every day.

This individual has handmade soaps and natural deoderant for sale as well. The soaps are quite nice, and have pleasant smells. I haven't tried the deoderant though I have ordered it. It is a herbal deoderant.
The most unique product I found from this seller, and the main reason I decided to include this seller in my guide, is a Pine Tar soap with Eucalyptus that can double as a shampoo. This would undoubtably be a male person would would try it as a shampoo. Two large bars of the soap are sold in an auction. It was supposed to be good for people who have bad dandruff or psoriasis or eczema symptoms, so I bought it for a male friend of mine who had dandruff and didn't mind smelling like pine (it is a manly scent after all), and thinks that you should only use one soap on your whole body to save time and effort. He says he likes it and it has worked wonders on his dandruff, so if you have this problem or anyone you know does, give it a try!
This guide is a work in progress, and I haven't had time to finish it all yet, or try everything from every seller I've wanted to try yet, so if you find something wonderful, let me know! :o)
