The purpose of this guide is to share with others tips on buying Gymboree items on eBay.  I have been buying and selling Gymboree items for almost two years. I have a daughter who wears Gymboree and I think it is a great brand of clothing. I hope you enjoy my guide!

Gymboree has a new line of clothing about every three weeks. There is usually a new boys line and girls line. Gymboree also carries an infant line but does not come out every three weeks. Girls lines tend to be more popular than boys. Each new line has a name (Tutti Fruity, Freshly Picked, Pretty in Plums) and includes mix n' match items and accessories.

My daughter has two types of Gymboree: Good Gymboree and Play Gymboree. The Good Gymboree are brand new items that I buy brand new with tags. Play Gymboree are items that are used and she wears them every day for play or preschool. I found out quickly when I sent her to preschool that kids sometimes get very messy at school. Fingerpaint doesn't always come out even though it is washable.

When searching on eBay, I look for new and used items. The new items are usually listed in the titles as NEW or NWT. Used items may have USED, EUC or LN (like new). It is very important when looking for used items, that you have an idea of what is acceptable to you. Some prefer no stains at all; while others are fine with some flaws.

When I am shopping outside of eBay, sometimes I find an item but need a coordinating piece to make it an outfit. I may find a shirt but need leggings or a jumper and need a shirt or tights. I will purchase it and then look on eBay to see what is available. Many eBay sellers have stores to find the pieces you are looking for. However, you have to watch because sometimes the prices may be inflated. Some reasons could be that the item is no longer available from the Gymboree store or is a hard to find item. Another reason could be the seller purchased an item for the full retail price and wants to sell for what they paid for.

For used clothing, eBay sellers will sell Gymboree items by the piece or an outfit or in a lot. There are some Gymboree lines which are my favorite and so I will look for these particular pieces. If I have an item that is in excellent used condition, I will look for items in similar condition. The items are not stained and don't have lots of wash wear. If I am looking for a play item, I don't mind some wash wear or minimal staining. That way, I don't feel bad when my daughter gets black paint on her clothes. When selling used items on Gymboree, I try not to list stained items, but if I do, I list a detailed description. This is very important! I want to make sure the buyer knows the item isn't perfect, but may be what they need. Sometimes small stains can be covered up by a jumper or sweater if it is on a shirt.

Gymboree clothing is very mix and matchable. Gymboree puts basic pieces in every line and it is possible to wear items from different lines. My daughter wears items from Puppy Love, Sweet Cupcake and Prima Ballerina (different years and different lines) because the pinks in each of the lines can be mixed and matched. It is always a good idea to have some basic pieces in your line.

When purchasing Gymboree on eBay, it is a good idea to check out a seller's shipping charges. These charges can be all different amounts and depends on what you are bidding on. If you are purchasing one item such as leggings or a shirt, most of these items can be shipped USPS first class usually for under $2. Sellers will generally add some costs to it (shipping materials, time or gas to post office). Multiple items are usually more and some sellers give discounts for multiple purchases. My shipping rates are based on weight and not per item. I send packages USPS first class up to 9 ounces. I charge a small amount for shipping materials. Packages over 9 ounces are shipped USPS Priority Mail and I charge actual rates and don't add any fees. The post office supplies all of my materials and I can schedule a pickup right from my home. For that reason, I don't feel the need to add more costs. I also use flat rate Priority Mail shipping because sometimes when sending items across the country, it is more reasonable.

I hope these tips help you out. Thanks for checking out my Buying Gymboree on eBay guide! Check out my eBay store The Bunchkin Patch!
