Here is a wonderful version of the high color "Color Magic Barbie." Just because it says 1966 on the backside doesn't necessarily mean it is vintage or mod. Most mod dolls have the same body mold as the newer gals. To be sure it's vintage it will be marked "Barbie/Midge" or just "Barbie" and will be straight leg with a different vinyl tone. The bent leg/straight leg bodies of the mod may be marked 1966 but that is just the mold of the body. Usually part of the markings will say "Japan." Most have small mouths and no teeth showing, eyelashes on most and never have bent arms, large factory-made earring or finger ring holes or long light blonde hair (as the newer dolls). It is important to know what your selling and to be educated on the doll. This could mean the difference in final bids and save you listing fees in the end. You will also find most collectors can spot vintage and mod from a mile away and may ask some questions about neck splits, green ear  (a reaction from previous earrings to the vinyl), paling to the face, chews to the feet or hands or missing nail or toe paint (on all the vintage and mod dolls). It would be best to add these details to your description to save you time answering questions later. Light weight bodies are always copycats and should be listed as such.
