Hello Everyone!
Well I guess anyone that buy's sportscards knows that the time is now to purchase all great NBA, NFL, etc....cards? With sellers giving any and all great cards of the best players and most desired rare cards away? The time is now to buy. I have never seen so many Jordan, Lebron, Kobe, auto's Rookie cards etc.... sell for so little. Check it out, These cards are selling for a quarter of Beckett raw book value???????? If stocks traded for so little we would all be rich???????? Don't be fooled into a false since of urgency sellers, if you are selling off these great cards because you think the market is going to fall lower? then you are mistaken, I have seen this before and all the cards that you are giving away now will one day be selling for three times the current selling price! So collectors keep buying. Here is an example:
A Jordan auto card with a patch and numbered to only 50 is selling for around $600.00 right now, three years ago the same card sold for $1,500-$2000. that is a big loss for anyone that paid the higher amount right? Well as soon as Jordan pull's his rights to Upper Deck, which will happen and soon. He will only be signing a limited number of cards! The market will shoot up and your cards will follow!
Ask yourself if these cards are selling for so little, why is Beckett still listing them with such a high raw book value? Most sellers here on E-bay are not collectors and they are selling these great cards for someone else that just need the money! As collectors this hurts the market because we want our cards to sell for what they are booked for or as close to book as possible. When this cheap selling happens it forces us to lower our prices if we really want to sell something! Don't do it! Wait until the market changes, instead of selling buy up all the low, low, low priced items. Just like buying stock, buy low and sell high! And wait for things to change, you will thank me later!
Remember everything changes, just ask the Patriots!
