Ebayers are seeing more and more of Bootleg, knockoff, and fake items everyday. I am writing a guide that can help you to not buy a "bootleg" item. The first thing you need to know is that if instead of saying the actual brand (lacoste, gucci etc.) they say "name brand" this is key to spotting a bootleg item. If the seller says name brand then they know its bootleg and they do not want to be held responsible by law by saying that it's the actual brand. I have a lot of experience with this because I have bought these bootlegs too by accident. Another way of spotting a bootleg is if it looks significantly different than the actual item. Examples of this are items that don't come in the color that the actual item comes in. Some more examples is the logo is turned a different way than it is supposed to, more or less buttons than it comes with, comes in a size not available by the authentic  product. Also if you can tell in the picture that the item looks cheaper than the authentic product does. If you follow all of these guidelines you can spot a bootleg much more easily than on your own.
