Liquidation.com is, as its name implies, a reseller of new, used, returned, damaged-salvaged or refurbished goods for its retail clients. FOR ITS RETAIL CLIENTS!!! Headquartered in Washington D.C. it's one of the wholesale sources that eBay suggests as a source for resalable wholesale merchandise. As a fledgling aBayer I went to Liquidation.com is search of wholesale lots that I could resell through my eBay store, but after only four transactions, instead of re-investing profits to expand my business, I find myself writing this guide so that future eBayers won't  waste their money like I did!

Liquidation.com says it has a whole pile of expertise in surplus asset liquidation, asset management, logistics servieces and even customer support. Pooh-Pooh. All but my first transaction with Liquidation.com was a nightmare, and that was because I purchased NEW product shipped direct from a manufacturer. An that even took a month to get to me! Bottom line is they don't answer your complaints because their management staff, like Marcia Ryter of the Buyer Relations Group, never ever answers her phone, and never ever returns messages left for her. Further, the staff in the buyer relations group rarely if ever answers the phone by identifying themselves by name, and if and when the conversation doesn't proceed in a manner that they like, they simply hang up! It happened to me more than once in one day. I hardly think it a coincidence. When I demanded that the highest ranking official in the building take my call, I got the V.P. of Operations...or so they said...and was able to cancel a transaction which I had been waiting for delivery on for more than thirty days.

I have participated in many many auctions with Liquidations.com and I have noticed that even though I bid to just about the maximum I can bear in terms of a profit margin, I am nearly always outbid by someone. Who that someone is is beyond me, and gives rise to the suspicion that maybe, just maybe, there are some shill bidders working for Liquidation.com. I'm not saying it's so, but the fact remains that a lot of the junk they auction ends up selling for more that you can retail it for on eBay. Makes you go HMMMMMMMM!!! Furthermore, there is no system of user identification such as eBay has, so you don't know who you are bidding against and whether or not they are a bonifide buyer like you.

I have found some complaints by Googling "complaints about liquidation.com" and I noticed that in one of the complaints the client "Online Returns" has come up. My last purchase was from this vendor, but was merchandise that was at the Liquidation.com warehouse wherever that is. Bottom line is that, the Treo 650 PDA phones that I bought, with minor screen blemishes and cosmetic imperfections, but that all powered up and had stylus pencils, chargers and blah blah blah as an added bonus!! They all turned out to be pure unadulterated junk, that if I had advertised and sold on eBay the same way that they did would have cost me my eBay account.

End game recommendation is that you avoid Liquidation.com at all cost. If you buy from them, buy only new merchandise, and even that's a risk. You'll see that if you Google "complaints about liquidation.com." If you buy from them expect shoddy service and a long wait for the merchandise to arrive. I can't think of too many eBayers who can spend upwards of $1500 to wait thirty days for their merchandise.

If you found my guide to be of help, great!! If not, I suggest you do a bit more research before buying from Liquidation.com. Good luck!!
