I know of people who buy tons of stuff on eBay. I still think that eBay is really only beginning to take off as more shoppers and buyers come together on this world marketplace. If you’re buying on eBay, you’re probably aware to review a seller’s feedback. Let me give you a some words of caution because having a strong positive feedback rating is only half the issue for safe shopping.
What’s the second half?
Longevity. The number of days a seller has been registered on eBay.
You see, a scammer can easily rack up a favorable feedack score of 10 or more in a just a few days. They’ll sell a few pencils or something insanely simple like that and then quickly receive 100% positive feedback from their customers.
The following week thes scammer will sell a $1,000 stereo system only to collect the winning bidder funds and never send the item.
So, when you’re buying on eBay, keep in mind these two things: an excellent feedback score and longevity.
