I had the unfortunate experience last year, beggining in December 2005, to fall prey to the "occasional" ebay scam seller. I call her this because upon reading her feedback column, her reveiws are early flawless. And though I am uable to ascertain if they are all trully legitimate or somehow she has scored herself just to cover up her tracks. I just dont really know for sure. But I know that there is no way in the world I can be mistaken about what I read, saw, and was indicated by her posting of a Lancome,Estee Lauder,Clinique wholesale lot. There was no mistaking the widely variant and abundant "lot" in the picture. It looked like a grat deal. Her wording in the description was very misleading but put in such a way that a buyer could easily be swayed into thinking it meant one thing. Yet quite unspecifically pertaining to another would yield her validity in just so an event it would be neccessary to defend her credibility. To ake a long story short. I ended up paying just under $100.00 US dollars for two "lot" items that were charged of me in UK currency. And when I finally did receive the much anticipated package in the mail. It was Sample Sizes of your LANCOME,CLINIQUE,ESTEE LAUDER that macys will throw at you when you buy X amount of dollars worth of stuff. (Usually anywhere from 36 to 60 dollars worth of thier make-up, etc..) The kind of samples that are soooooo small they are deemed/LABELLED: NOT FOR INDIVIDUAL SALE. I got two Lancome mascaras. Two very small tubs half the size of your pinkey of Estee Lauder Lotion, and a regular size terrible shade of Clinique lipstick. Their cheapest one. Some small vial of sea salts that did not have a legible manufacturers mark imprinted on it. And this huge, and very cheap and ugly dollar store type purse. Just big and gawdy with a huge hoop ring attaching straps on front. Made out of cheap imitation velvet, the kind that has a backing to it that the purse cannot barely bend. Bullet proof cheap velvet is what I call it. The seller DRILAND lived only 4 citys aay from me yet charged me in brittish currency ad shipping. I was supposed to have recieved two individual "lots" Equaling in quantity but not maybe exactly in selection as per brand, color, etc... Just beware with cosmetic lots, showing big rambunctious varietys in thier lots. This seller did not say it was going to be like the picture or not when I asked for a more specific answer. She just changed the subject a bit then said read the description. Which I did at least 30 times, as I was very much looking forward to such a great deal on such awide variety of cosmetics. Of course it was not in the slightest way a "good" deal for me. This dealer clearly took avantage of my first time buying on ebay. And even went s far as to lie about the situation n the feedback. She said I didnt have insurance-BUT I MADE SURE I DID! HA! She was a real treat to have to be faced with my first time around. I would not know if she trully has that many happy buyers. In al honesty I just cant believe it so. I wouldnt put it past someone like her to buy under different names her own stuff or have people to do it, just so she can have that positive feedback rating to hide under when she does select a potential victim to be an "occasional scam" on her plate.
