E-Books are the new "GREEN" way to buy books!

I am a big fan of digital books and literature.

You can find "E-Books" of every type possible, from diet books, to "How-To" books, to full length classic or contemporary books, romance, sci-fi, poems and novels by the greatest authors in the world.

I have read some of the guides people place here on eBay (like the one I am writing now), and I noted with surprise that people who sell E-Books are sort of considered scam artists by a lot of people.   I guess that is because lots of ads on eBay for "E-Books" often were very misleading, and people didn't know up front that they are buying digital media, instead of a paper and cloth book.  That's why eBay now restricts the sale of digitally delivered materials...because so many folks were getting scammed.

Some time back, I, myself, purchased a "book" that touted "1,000 ways to make Money on eBay" for only $9.99! and the item description showed a thick book with that title on it!   I paid via PayPal, only to get an e-mailed list (not even an E-Book!) of 1000 products you could buy overseas and resell on eBay for a profit.  Many of the drop-shipper's addresses were outdated.  Many of the links to web sites were not even there anymore!  Well, of course I felt like a sap for falling into that one, but I did actually glean a couple of bits of useful information that eventually paid off enough to regain the $9.99 spent on the "list", which I incorrectly assumed was some sort of pamphlet or an actual paper book, simply because the seller showed a neat photo of a physical book.  I also discovered later that the list I paid $10 for was available online for FREE.  Hmmm.  'Nuff said.

Some of the guides I have been reading warn folks never to bid on "E-Zines" or "E-Books" because they are all scams.
Well, undoubtedly some being sold on eBay were, or at least, they didn't really offer you a physical book or anything, but most "E-Books" are real books that have been  painstakingly transferred from the written pages of wonderful old novels and textbooks to electronic form, for folks to read and enjoy on their computer screens, or are REAL books offered by E-Publishers who are reputable and ethical and who offer a beautifully-published novel with cover art and the works!

E-Publishing is getting to be very big now that "GREEN" industries are being promoted.  E-Books save millions of trees, millions of dollars in shipping and handling costs, and they save time and money for the reader!  They are purchased online at reputable publisher's websites, and the books are downloaded instantly from the same site.  No SH fees - instant gratification.  No waiting 2 weeks for the books to arrive by media mail.

What, exactly, ARE digital books?

Digital Books (E-Books) are full length novels of all kinds in electronic format.  These books can be purchased online from reputable publishers like Ellora's Cave or Samhain Publishing or Resplendence Publishing, The Wild Rose Press, etc. and they are legitimate books!

There are loads of wonderful E-Books available.

If you prefer to have nicely presented books in easily readable, aesthetically pleasing form, look for a REAL, E-Published E-Book.
DO take advantage of the affordability and the convenience of digital literature.  You  won't regret it.

I have a file on my computer desktop that I have labeled "Grandma's Library".

I have loaded dozens of these wonderful E-Books into it for my grandkids to enjoy when they visit.  They squabble over who gets to sit at the keyboard and select what book they want to read this time, so I make them rotate.  Then they all read together (and my old antique book is sitting comfortably on my dust-free shelf, completely out of harm's way.)

I also have a flash drive absolutely filled with hundreds of E-Books from various publishers!

I have romance books, sci-fi books, paranormal novels, time travel novels, mystery and suspense novels, and many more - and I can carry this little jewel anywhere I go to plug into the USB port of any computer.  I can read to my heart's content, and I didn't pay a dime for exorbitant SH fees.

Over the past several years, I spent over $2000 on books (most of which was spent on SH) on eBay.  While paper and cloth books are great, my bookshelves have become crammed to overflowing.  After becoming totally addicted to E-Books, I have increased my library by over 500 new books - without having to buy one more set of bookshelves.  :)

Thanks for reading.  I hope this guide was helpful.  And I hope you don't think all of us E-Book sellers are bad folks.
