Want that new jeans style by Abercrombie but don't have the $60 to throw down at the store??  Want a couple of suits for your new job but don't have $600 to spend?

Then Ebay is your answer!  Everything you can possibly dream of is on here.  And they have got clothes by the thousands....

Now, short of underwear, I would buy just about anything used off of Ebay... and for good reason.

1.) Ebay sellers are generally pretty honest... I have bid on and won some items that the seller will list as having a small hole in the knee only to find out that that hole is nothing more than a slight thinning of the material.  As the saying goes, another man's piece of garbage is another man's gold.

2.) You can get lots and lots of clothes for a very small price.  A lot of clothes can be worth it's weight in gold and coincidentally, only a slight dent in your pocketbook as compared to store pricing.

3.) To quote a once popular rock song, a picture tells a story don't it...Most Ebay sellers will supply you a pic of what you are buying.,..  If you are looking for a particular cut and size, seek and you shall find.

4.) Clothes are just like anything else... freshly laundered and they pretty much feel like what you just got out of the dryer that you bought new.

Now some words of advice...

1.) Watch measurements... my size 10 in Old Navy might be a size 12 in Gap or vice versa...

2.) As far as jeans go, watch the rise.... I purchase all kinds of all rises but trust me, a low rise to one person may be a SUPER LOW rise to another.

3.) Buy in lots if possible.  You get a lot more clothes for about the same amount of money if not less.  If you get 5 pairs of pants for $15 or spend $8 for one pair that you really want, then you probably aren't seeing much of a savings.  And remember...YOU ARE AN EBAY MEMBER so if something doesn't fit....JUST RESELL IT!  And you won't feel as much of a crunch if you bought a "LOT"... you at least got your shipping cost justified.

4.) Read buyer feedback.  If others aren't that happy with a purchase, odds are that you won't be. It's on there for a reason.

5.) Read THE WHOLE description...If you want smoke free and pet free, then don't be upset if your item comes to you with a little Labrador Retriever hair on it.  Personally, I have and love animals, but I also have a washing machine.  I USE IT!  In other words, I wouldn't let a smoke free/pet free environment seduce me into buying something.  You are getting something from someone you don't know and putting it on your body... Wash it first!

6.) Remember that you are buying something used... it's probably not going to be perfect.  But then again, IMPERFECT is what is in style nowadays.

7.) Things come and go in style...and are regional... People in Cali were wearing LOW RISE long before the rest of us were.  What someone wore 6 months ago on the West Coast may be all the rage here.  Don't let USED poison your thoughts about a particular item.  You can look just as good as your friends and not spend all of that money!

Buying used items has been a very satisfactory process for me... and it can be for you too, as long as your expectations are realistic.

NEW TO YOU is usually just as good as NEW!
