This guide is to inform all potential buyers thinking of a Big Lift kit for their truck the engineering and the quality behind each and every BULLETPROOF Suspension Lift Kit. The guide is to share experience and hopefully steer you in the right direction. Tracy is my name, and I am here to share this input. I have been in the Automotive Aftermarket most of my adult life and have a vast experience in Auto Personalization and Customization. I have worked for some of the most well known Aftermarket manufacturers there are. I have built and constructed many cars and trucks that have been featured or even placed on the cover of many publications. I am a hands on guy and do lots of research into products before I decide on using them for a project. I search what is available to suit the desired modification and then study.
When it came time to build one of my first Big GM 4x Crew Cab truck, I knew that a 6" lift would not suffice. I looked at what was available to go bigger then 6" and found none without using a body lift in conjunction. I am NO fan of Body lifts! Stay clear of those. They mis-align all radiator, wiring and so on. They also allow for body shift and panel misalignments. Anyway, I came accross a friend of mine, lets call him "Bob" he was entering into building his own suspension lift manufacturing after building private label for years. "Bob" offered to make me a one-off 8" kit for my newly purchased 2000 Chevrolet Crew Cab 4x. This truck was to be built for marketing American Racing Wheel products(my job at the time). "Bob" was only going to build 6" lifts, but I convinced him to build me an 8", and so he did. The 8" would clear the first 37" tall, 17" wheel, BFG tires to hit the market. "Bob" did a sensational job! He subsequently also launched his R.C.D brand at the same time, which we all know as a lift suspension market leader today! Anyway enough gibber... That truck left my life and after a few years of cars it was time for a truck again. This time it had to be BIGGER !! With the IFS suspension on the GM products, 6" seemed again all that was offered for the masses. Ford products with their straight axle front end, were being lifted to the sky! So my good friend Pat and I said "No Ford needs to taller then us with a GM!" This set the desire to find the best Big Lift or make one, period! After a chat with a fellow Industry player, I was introduced to the owner/products of BULLETPROOF Suspension. Sure I had looked at a few others(names ommitted) and did not like what I saw. Now looking at this BULLETPROOF Kit I was speachless! It was a 10" suspension drop and it is adjustable to 12"! Just what we were after! Clearing 38" tall Mud terrains was going to be a breeze! The BULLETPROOF kits engineering allows use of the factory mounting, factory spindles, no cuttting of the front differential housing, and has incorporated Dual shock hoops. All components are engineered to tie into one another to maintain intergrity in strentgh once dropped down. Materials used are best in application and are tubular instead of box or flat plate. So when this truck is comming down the road your visual of the front suspension is soft and appealing, not over powering. Engineering is apparent in every aspect, along with all hardware, brake lines, new ball joints and the biggest of all aspects would be the trick steering linkage. The factory linkage is set aside, and a new Heim Ended, Billet Aluminum Dual Idler Setup is used. Talk about stout! The factory tie rod links are sissy! This BULLETPROOF steering sets it out above the competition! This all comes together with all components powder coated for durability. Custom Colors can be obtained thru custom ordering. In this humble mans eyes you get "What you pay For" and BULLETPROOF Suspension Lift Kits are the best Big Lift Kits available. A wide range of kits are now available for 2 wheel drives, 4 wheel drives, GM, Ford and Dodge products. Please feel free to ask questions, automotiveimage is my user name. Thank You, Tracy.
