Not everybody is fortunate enough to have high income thus making gaming a very expensive and often difficult hobby to get into. Being a Gamer for nearly 19 years now I've gained a vast knowledge on how to be a Gamer and keep your wallet full.
There's nothing wrong with any of these catagories. But if you're a budget Gamer like myself and can't afford to spend tons of cash on the current software and hardware or you're new to the world of Video Games and have no idea where to begin then this guide is for you.
Nintendo Entertainment System:
Release date: 1985
Average price for hardware: $8.99 to $129.99 Ebay auctions
Product information: Initially released in 1985 by Nintendo the system was also known as the "Famicom" or Family Computer. The system defined the 8-Bit Generation of consoles and many would say that Nintendo saved the dying gaming industry after the demise of arcades and the video game crash. The NES features a robust library of software ranging in almost every catagory you can think of. Some important games to note are Super Mario Bros , The Legend of Zelda and Metroid which are considered to be some of the best games ever released on the system.
Cons: Some of the more rare games may be a bit costly.
A lot of games are insanely difficult and may turn off a lot of Gamers

Being a "Gamer" doesn't necessarily mean that you have to buy the latest and greatest hardware and software. Infact, there really is no true definition for a Gamer as they come in all different styles and preferences. For some people they only play on classic consoles and purchase legacy software {retro games}while for others they may stick a Generation behind and fully enjoy their current systems to the fullest while they wait on price drops of Next-Gen hardware and there are those who buy the latest and greatest right off the bat wether it be the latest Video Card for their PC or the next Playstation.
