BRIDGE SET-UP
Setting up the bridge is quite simple but if not done correctly, it can be a bit of a pain.
First, locate on the body of your instrument, what is called the 'F' Holes. This is where the sound actually resonates out of the body through the front.
There are notches right in the middle of each of these. These are the lateral (side to side) line up points.
The strings must be loosened enough to allow the bridge to be adjusted underneath them, but not too much so that you are dealing with spaghetti.
Once these have been done, the bridge is ready to be set.
Taking the bridge in hand, line it up laterally (side to side) and center with the notches in the 'F' holes.
Rest the strings on the light indented grooves and tighten the strings slightly one at a time from the outside in, to still be able to adjust the bridge.
The bridge should be lined up with the 'F' Holes. At this point, you want to look down the neck to make sure that not only is bridge lined up with 'F' Hole notches, but that it is centered with the top by the tuning pegs and the bottom with the tailpiece.
You should be able to tighten at this point and tune the pegs.
