Brenna Gethers - 2006 American Idol Finalist Brenna Gethers

American Idol announced their 2006 finalists - 12 men and 12 women.... And somehow 25 year old Brenna Gethers of New York made the top 24 despite being awfully annoying - even more so than Mr. Simon Cowell. Brenna Gethers is supremely confident, super gabby and far too proud considering her lack of talent as compared to the other ladies. Although I don't love Brenna's voice - I do believe that some of America will vote her in because they find her obnoxious behavior humorous... well I hope not!

Feb. 20th Brenna Gethers Update

Fox posted their Brenna Gethers factoids - the night before the first week of voting begins (Tuesday is the women's competition, Wednesday is the men's, and Thursday is the voting). Below are the Brenna Gethers facts from Fox:

February 28th Update for Brenna Gethers

There is something strangely appealing about Brenna to me... I can't identify it because she is absurdly cocky, not that talented and flashly the most ridiculous smile I've ever seen. Its like she is programmed to pout her lips and pose any time she isn't talking... bizarre stuff. Brenna sang "Last Dance" and utterly flopped. No energy. No passion. Lots of crazy poses and fake smiles. The judges didn't enjoy it but that didn't stop Brenna from declaring that it was "Magnificent" and "America loves me!" Unfortunately I think Brenna Gethers' American Idol run ends tomorrow night... I'm sad because she provides me with constant entertainment.
