I saw a brand new 30" Wolf gas range on Ebay w/ an opening bid price of $25, but it had a disclaimer that said I needed to contact them thru their email BEFORE bidding or they could cancel my bid. So I emailed them and he emailed me back. I checked ebay a liitle later and saw that the bidding had closed although in the original auction, it had 22 hours left to bid. So again I emailed him. He said that he was getting TOO much interest and getting confused but he would still sell it to me for a Buy it Now price of $1400 (this retails for about $4000). Thought it was a scam but decided to see what happened next. Emailed him and told him I wanted it so he asked for Name, Address etc... and said he would contact ebay to start the purchase process. I then received an email from "ebay" that looked authentic. The only problem was I did my homework on ebay's scam website and knew what to look for. This was the email where he was in a different location then the item, he wanted a wire transfer and if you looked closely, you could tell it wasn;t from ebay b/c it had his personal email address. I forward the fake email to ebay who responded that it was a fraud and it did not come from ebay. I sent the seller another email saying that I changed my mind and NO THANKS! The guy actually emailed me back wanting to know why..... so I told him!!! Hope this helps someone else! PS - This guy is from ROMANIA!
