Hi, Let me start off by stating that I am in no way prejudicing against Asians in any way. I know many Asians and they are all wonderful people, I just do not like the way Asian countries trade, and their laws.
Each year BILLIONS upon BILLIONS of dollars are lost due to piracy. Most Asian countries have no laws against piracy, this means someone from Asia who wants to make a quick dollar can steal someones idea or creation and sell it as if it was their own idea. You see this a lot with CDs, DVDs, Video games, and other electronic gadgets, along with clothes. Everyday you hear about something being fake, and someone getting busted for selling illegal merchandice. I personally believe that the inventor/inventors deserves 100% creditability, and monetary rewards. I think if you do the work, why should someone else be able to steal your invention/idea and profit from your hard work? They shouldn't without having to pay royalties to you.
Have you ever seen an illegal copy of a movie out on DVD on the internet before it was out in the theatres? I have dozens of time, just take Star Wars Episode 3. I visited a website about two weeks before the movie was out in the theatres and I was able to download this movie to my computer. I saw the whole movie, with minor graphical errors before anyone else. Now lets think about this. If I saw the movie for FREE before it was released, then why would I want to pay to go see it in a theatre, and since I had it on my computer, why would I want to buy the DVD when it went on sale in stores, if I could just burn it myself? No one would. Its human nature to want things without any cost. But the truth is, there is a cost. The cost comes to those who make movies, DVDs, CDs, Video Games, etc. Those companies have expenses too, they have to pay all the graphic designers, engineers, managers, team cordinators, etc. If there is no money to pay these indviduals then why would anyone want to work? No one wants to work for free, we all want "our fair share."
Well most people are thinking well how do these Pirates get their hands on this software and such. Well with Americans thinking of "I want as much as I can get, for as little as possible," we send our products to be manufactured in those Asian countries. When we want our products to be made in foreign countries, we need to send a complete blueprint of the products. This blueprint contains all the information on how to make the product. These are easily copied, lost, or exchanged with people who have no rights to even see these prints. But why would a factory supervisor give away these prints? MONEY. They might only be offered a $10K bribe, but when thats enough money to last you the rest of your life time, wouldn't you accept that too? Of course you would. $10K to them is like $10Million to us. Plus, if they get caught doing so, the worst thing that happens is that they get fired from their job that pays $1 a day. They don't care, they have enough money that they don't need to work any more.
But aren't these the jobs Americans don't want? Assembly jobs aren't necessarily the most appealing jobs to Americans, but there is still over 2.5 Million Americans who are jobless. I also know a ton of people on Welfare, who could use a job too. I personally wouldn't mind if the government or a private individual opened more factories and employed those using foodstamps to pay for their grocery bills. The reason why the rich are getting richer, and the poor are getting poor is because of unequalized global trade. The "lower class Americans" are left without jobs, because their jobs are being taken away by the poorest people in the world. And our rich are profiting because they are making record profits due to reduced costs.
But aren't we doing these poor Asians a favor? Yes and No. We are providing them with money, but its almost nothing. Also in countries like China where it is communist, the chinese government makes all of their money. Also with China being communist, the Chinese government controls what their citizens see, hear, eat, buy, etc. Their government give them no say in what they can buy. That is why you don't see any Fords, GMs or any American car in China. They play a 100% dictatorship upon these individuals. Because these Chinese people cannot even have the option of buying American products, what just happened to the circular flow of trade? It STOPPED. What is necessary in trade is for each to buy each others items. Currently Americas trade is unequalized with all Foreign countries. We currently are spending more money on imported goods than domestic goods. As Americans it is our civil duty to help the USA as much as possible. By spending our money on goods from foreign countries especially China, or Asia in general, we are supporting a one way trade cycle that in the end will hurt our economy. If you ask any economist if supporting domestic companies or support foreign countries is better, they will always tell you to support the domestic USA.
Basially to end this, we need to preserve America's financial prosperity, and to do so, we must support America. If we are to trade with foreign countries let them have equal and fair trade as we do. It is not fair that we spend billions upon billions of dollars on imported goods, and in return they buy little or nothing. The biggest step you can do to help our country out is to stop buying asian cars, such as toyota, honda, hyundai, lexus, acura, kia, nissan, etc. Even if these cars were assembled in the United States, still don't buy them, because the engineering and design profits are still introverted from the US's economy. Next time you look for a car look for cars owned by companies Ford, or GM. Theres pleanty of luxury of cars owned by these two motor comopanies. And make sure that it was made in the United States.
**BE AN AMERICAN, SUPPORT THE SAME COMPANIES THAT PROVED FOOD AND A LIVING FOR YOUR FAMILIES.**
Questions and comments are more than welcome. If I know I can help atleast one person change their mind about supporting imports, I know I've made a huge impact for our country.
