Although the deals offered on eBay may seem to be really good, I have recently researched and discovered that anything manufactured by the Bowtech company or any of their subsidiaries, must be purchased from a Bowtech Authorized Dealer or the warranty is basically no good. Bowtech is a closed dealership item. The stores which are authorized to sell Bowtech products MUST be certified by Bowtech and Bowtech University. You might save money up front, but in the event of failure or breakdown of the Bowtech product, the warranty is not honored.
I am not saying don't buy from eBay sellers ... I am just advising due diligence and buyer caution. To be sure you are covered under warranty search and find an authorized dealership to purchase your Bowtech Bow from.
The following explains it all:
Bowtech Bows are a "protected" bow line, and are generally sold only via restricted dealer territories. Like several of today's hottest bow brands, Bowtech bows are typically NOT sold by internet stores, mail-order houses, or discount chain stores. Most often, protected bow lines are sold exclusively by a network of reputable local archery pro-shops who maintain specialized equipment and personnel. This ensures the best possible level of customer service with Bowtech brand bows and helps to make certain that Bowtech bows are properly setup, tuned, and performing-well in field. That's something that's hard to accomplish if your products are being boxed-up and shipped by big mail-order houses, catalog stores, or e-merchants that don't specialize in archery equipment.
What is a "Dealer Territory" Anyway?
Each authorized local Bowtech dealer is solely responsible for serving a given geographical territory, usually within a 10-20 mile radius of their store (as the crow flies). To avoid territory infringement among competing dealers, an "in-shop only" sales format must be followed. In most cases, you must physically walk-into a authorized Bowtech dealership to purchase a new Bowtech Bow. And with a growing network of over 700 authorized Bowtech Dealers nationwide, many shooters now have reasonable access to a qualified Bowtech Dealer in their area. However, the United States is a BIG place. As you can see on the 2005 Bowtech Dealer Coverage Map (above), some areas have plenty of local dealerships, some areas do not. Bowtech realizes that everyone isn't within reasonable driving distance of an authorized Bowtech dealership. And since Bowtech doesn't want anyone to be denied the opportunity to shoot the world's best-performing compound bow
