There is no such thing as a Bowers WW1Trench Lighter.  The Bowers Tool & Die Co. started operation in 1928.  They were founded by Ernest Bowers in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  He developed the "Kalamazoo Slide Sleeve Lighter".  In the 1940's the "Army-Navy" lighter was introduced, supplying 55% of all lighters purchased by the government during WW2.  I hope this clears up the errored discription of the so called "tench lighter".    Much of the above information was taken from a website discribing the company.  Jeff Weisman/Weisrelics.
