Have you ever gone swimming and then got out of the water wearing normal old school nike type bathing suits?  Its like all of the sudden youve become vacuum sealed from mid thigh up to your waste...and everything in between!  Im so thankful for the new age surfer style boardshorts because they are much thicker fabric wise.  Also they are longer and more comfortable.  As soon as you get out of the water you dont have to do that move where you start a tug-o-war with your bathing suit so your secret section isnt vacuum packed.
