BlueAnt Headphones Usage Tips
- There are many different parts to the BlueAnt Headphones so spend some time getting to know where and what things are. The Control Buttons on the headphones, the BlueAnt Browser, BluePc, the Charger, USB Dongle and the Headphones all need attention. Once you are set up and configured you need only to bring the headphones within range of your Bluetooth devices and they will automatically connect. This is the goal of wireless connectivity.
- Store your favourite MP3 and WMA songs in folders of 128mb ready to upload to the headphones. Make sure you use a fresh battery for large uploads.
- Store files of any type on your headphones at home and take them with the dongle to another pc running bluepc. Or use the headphones as a storage place that no one else can access.
- Use quality glitch free recordings and downloads… these are quality headphones you will notice it if you don’t.
- Run voice enabled online games by using your headphones for voice and your computer soundcard for sound effects and music.
- Fit headphones so that your ears slip between the neckband and speakers.
- - Use Standby Mode to conserve battery power (up to 150 hours) when you are not using the headphones. (Vol Up and Vol Down together for 3 seconds until you here a beep, repeat to come out of Standby)
- Battery can be left on charger after it’s fully charged as long the charger is turned on. Otherwise power will dissipate.
- Remove battery if storing device for an extended time.
- If you have to removed your USB dongle, try and put it back in same port to avoid having to re- install driver.
- Use Active Sync and Hot Sync to Synchronize a pda to Microsoft Outlook.
- Understand that while they have ‘Stereo and Voice Connections’ the BlueAnt Headphones effectively become the default soundcard in your computer. This means that all sound from the computer is sent to the headphones.
- BluePc is has many functions on its own. Check the help section in the Bluetooth taskbar icon for details.
- Use Bluetooth Manager to remove devices and the Bluetooth Devices icon on the desktop to search for devices and install services.
- Use or set up a profile in your phone that has moderate volume levels for ring tones and keypad clicks. See your phone manual for how to set up a profile.
- After you have set up the connection with the headphones, we recommend for your security you switch off the ‘visibility to others’ function in your phone’s Bluetooth options.
